With more than ten years of teaching and research experience at universities in Austria and abroad, I know how demanding the journey from the first idea to the final publication can be.
I teach courses such as Academic Writing, Research Methods, and Artistic/Scientific Research Methods, guiding students to express their creative and research-based ideas in a clear academic form.
I also supervise bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral theses — whether at an early concept stage or in more advanced phases.
My students are, on the one hand, German-speaking; on the other, I have been teaching international groups for many years, which is why I regularly lecture in English.
I come from an interdisciplinary background – my PhD is in Interface Cultures – which connects closely with Digital Humanities and allows me to work across disciplines and support research in many different academic fields.
My master’s and doctoral theses were published as books by Logos Verlag Berlin, and I received international awards and recognition for my pioneering work in this field.
In 2023, for example, I was honoured with the International e-Culture Award by Anilla Cultural Latinoamérica–Europa in Montevideo.
Even during my art history studies at the University of Vienna, fellow students often asked me to read and edit their diploma or seminar papers — something I enjoyed deeply and that naturally grew into part of my professional life.
My international curatorial work on art created with AI, AR, VR, and telematics — including an interactive digital exhibition at MuseumsQuartier Vienna, Austria’s leading museum complex — has also broadened my understanding of research by combining practical experience with theoretical reflection.
One of my key strengths is supporting interdisciplinary research approaches — for students coming from information technology (IT) as well as from the humanities, social sciences, architecture, and art.
In my mentoring, I integrate contemporary, AI-assisted methods that make literature research, text analysis, and citation practice more effective and transparent.
My experience from interdisciplinary research projects and workshops at the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW) — focusing on Open Innovation in Science, Design Thinking, and Citizen Science — is also part of my professional practice.
I was invited there because of my expertise, where I developed two concepts and participated in several other projects.
I see academic work as a dialogue between the researcher and their topic — a process where step by step, new insights emerge.
What fascinates me most is seeing how an idea evolves: from the first spark to a well-structured and meaningful research work.
